New buys I wonder how I lived without
1. Lancôme lash primer
I am one of those people who is always walking up to strangers and saying “wow, you have such great lashes!” and sorta staring deeply into their eyes. Unfortunately, I suffer from really short lash-ness. Castor oil really does help but this primer really gives my lashes the extra length they were born without. |
2. a. Urban Decay black liner
As a longtime user of the eyeliner brush and dark eyeshadow, this product came as a great wakeup call. It stays on ALL DAY whereas eyeshadow-liner seems to evaporate as the hours pass. Because of this, your makeup looks fresh all day, your eyes appear bigger and brighter and you never have to reapply. |
2. b. Urban Decay brown liner
Look, another Urban liner! This one is different though, I swear!
The difference between this type of liner and the one above is that this type is a little more forgiving. I have been using the goldy-brown one and it stays on just as long as the one ^above^ but is a little more subtle. I prefer this liner to the other when I am in a rush and don’t have a lot of time. It has the clean line of a liquid eyeliner but is not as dramatic as a stark, black line. |
3. This one Real Techniques brush
I think I audibly said “how did I ever live without this brush” as soon as I started using it. The brush came in this kit and it can be used for, I kid you not, everything. I use it to set my concealer, to press powder over dark spots and to even out the spots that my big, face brush can’t quite reach. (Oh, it's the brush all the way on the left). |
4. MAC finishing spray
For that ~dewy~ look that people seem to always be talking about. This spray is great when you feel like your skin is dry and your makeup just...isn’t working. You know the feeling. Since the mist creates a somewhat glossy finish, it evens out the imperfections caused by some powder application.
Glossy, NOT oily. I repeat, no no no nooooooo oil here. |
5. Tom Ford palette
