Harper's Bazaar reported that in China, local regulations demand that cosmetics are to be tested on animals before the products are sold to the public.
Jenna Rosenstein, senior beauty editor at Harper's Bazaar, said that this will not bode well for the brand in terms of its users who are cruelty-free advocates.
"This potential risk is enough to turn many cruelty-free makeup advocates against these brands for good," she said.
