JUST BEING DEVINE

This vs. That: Eyeliner

We've all been in one of those moments: when you are standing in Sephora, two items in hand, trying to recall the balance of your bank account, but knowing you are only financially allowed to buy one of the two products lying limply in your palm. So poetic. Here's the dish on what's what in my first edition of "This vs. That".
Urban Decay: Liquid eyeliner
Pros: It stays on all day looking fresh and crisp while still remaining dramatic enough to transition from day to night.

Cons: SO easy to mess up; the other day it took me 4 tries to get both lines to match and even.

Rating: 8/10

Bobbi Brown: Gel eyeliner
Pros: Easy to smudge and create a smoky look, lasts forever (in terms of quantity of product), almost as precise as liquid.

Cons: Requires additional purchase of a gel liner brush which needs to be frequently cleaned.

Rating: 7/10
NARS: Pencil eyeliner
Pros: Can be used on waterline as well as lash line, giving it a duel purpose. Lasts all day, easy to blend and smudge.

Cons: Hard to get sharp end points. I usually have to take a eyeliner brush and finish off the corners myself.

Rating: 7/10

MAC: Eyeshadow
Pros: Very forgiving when applying, easy to blend, buildable, can be applied with any small brush.

Cons: Seems to evaporate as the day goes on. Sometimes I come home at the end of the day and my eyeliner is gone.

Rating: 8/10
