Things that make you feel really clean |
|
Those magical, wonderful days where you don’t need to leave your space until 5 p.m. are really the best. Not only can you graze your pantry all day without guilt but you can also reclaim your spot as a regularly-functioning human if you spend a mere chunk of your day scrubbing off the week's’ worry and ugliness from your skin.
Confused? Ok, I’ll break it down a little more.
You know when you feel really dirty? Yes? Here’s a perfect article for you.

Vitabath

Lavender body scrub
|
There are a lot of soaps out there that claim to “rejuvenate” and “nourish” and “enhance” your skin. We’ve all fallen into the trap of buying it and are always annoyed (and not surprised) when the stuff just doesn't get the job done. Vitabath is just plain, old good body soap. It’s thick, it lathers and it cuts through deodorant, dead skin and anything else you can think of.

Before you cleanse your skin, you should probably scrub off whatever is stuck on there. Whether or not you can see it, your skin accumulates oil and dirt all day and traps it in your pores. The job of any body-scrub is to open up your pores and clear out the gunk that’s trapped in there. I love my lavender scrub but this product comes in all different flavors.

Fresh blow out
|
New nails
|
Ok there is literally, figuratively, emotionally nothing like having clean hair and a blow out. It brings your spirit back to life after a long weekend or a few days with your nose buried in a book and your 2-day hair up in a dry-shampoo-ridden bun. We’ve all been there–and that’s ok– but I think we can all agree that clean hair feels a whole lot nicer than...not clean hair.
|
For an overwhelming sense of cleanliness, take off your chipped polish, cut, file and buff your nails. You’ll be able to feel the tips of your fingers again as you run them through your hair or accidentally catch a hangnail and rip it down all the way to your waist. Ah, the memories.

An even all-over glow

Comfortable, matching pajamas
|
This step may not make you feel clean but it sure does make you feel pretty. Evening out your skintone with a little self-tanner will give you a little confidence boost heading into the warmer months when wearing shorts is a requirement.
|
Ok, granted, I can’t actually explain this one but there is something about getting out of the shower and putting on matching pajamas that just makes you feel like the chicest, cleanest person in the world. I have recently transitioned into my summer-set that’s made up of a button down t-shirt and matching shorts. It rocks.

Lotion post-shower

Clear pores

Here’s another one that doesn’t necessarily clean your body, it just rehydrates your soul. One of the worst things about exfoliating your skin is the dry, flaky sensations that begin about 10 minutes after you dry off. To combat this issue, keep your bathroom door closed and apply a layer of moisturizer all over your body to replenish some of the oils you just stripped away.
|
There is nothing worse (ok there might be a few things worse) than touching your face at any point during the day and thinking, “it’s happened. I’ve broken a record. I have more blackheads than anyone on earth.” Get yourself a mask that peels off and takes away those pesky little dudes with it.
