Review: Teaonic's skin and skinny brews |
|
About two months ago I discovered Teaonic, a brewed, bottled and targeted source of healthy living. Instead of flavors, the brand uses parts of the body to distinguish which drink you should try. This is the first of a few reviews I will be posting in the coming weeks; each review will feature a few brews and will include some info on the drink and my reactions during and after trying each one.
This is the first brew I tried back in February. I found it before going away to a week and though, “well, I’m going to need all the help I can get.”
Flavor can best be described as: Cinnamon Teaonic describes the mission behind this brew as “a balancing tonic that helps reduce cravings, stabilize blood sugar levels, and boost the metabolism to help burn more fat.*” During: This tea has a stronger flavor compared to the other brews. The taste of cinnamon is definitely dominant over the hints of chocolate and vanilla but nonetheless remains light and enjoyable. Like all the others, the portion is just right. It leaves you refreshed and hydrated but not overwhelmed. The serving size per container is 2 but I often drink the whole bottle in one sitting… I guess it’s just that good.

After: You know those days when you feel like nothing can get you down? The after effects of this drink feel similar to that; everytime I drink this brew I feel like my world is sparkling. No, I’m not exaggerating. Teaonic’s claims of stopping cravings hold true as I usually drink this flavor when I am craving chips and/or chocolate and find my desires fade away.
This is a great drink to hold you over in between meals. Instead of heading to a sugary or carby snack, have one of these instead. The nutrients will keep you going for the next hour and maybe help relieve some of your guilt for when you (inevitably) have a piece (bar) of chocolate later.

The first time I read the name of this brew I laughed out loud and said, “what’s that like?”
Flavor can best be described as: Citrus-y Teaonic describes the mission behind this brew as “a refreshing tonic that helps flush out toxins and impurities and promote healthy skin from the cellular level.*” During: Here are my notes from my first time trying this brew.

After: The quickest thing I noticed after drinking this brew was that I didn’t feel anything sitting in my stomach. Sometimes when I drink tea, and maybe this is just me, but I can feel it sloshing around in my stomach and it’s just isn’t fun. This tea, on the other hand, was like drinking warm sunshine and yes, I had the same sparkling post-effects as I had experienced from my SKINNY tea.
I would recommend this drink on a warm spring day; like early June. It made me want to sit outside and sip this tea over ice with some fresh mint and maybe crushed fruit. Plus, with the increasingly strong rays, keeping your skin healthy with a natural glow is V important.
Oh, and yes, Teaonic sent me these drinks. But let me assure you everything I purport is true. This stuff is the real deal.
