Review: BioRepublic Skincare green tea detox mask |
|
My Birchbox subscription has left me with numerous new beauty products to try, including this sheet mask from BioRepublic infused with green tea extract. This was my first experience with a sheet mask and I have to say it was a very damp, slimy and drippy one. Don’t get me wrong, the results felt nice but the process of getting the mask out of the packaging, unraveling it (ripping it), getting it on my face and stopping it from sliding around was a hefty task.
Birchbox describes this product as the following: These spa-worthy sheet masks are infused with natural green tea extract and plant collagen to give skin a boost of healing antioxidants while removing excess sebum (the oily residue that clogs pores). |
I felt a little claustrophobic while wearing this since I could see the mask on my face, as opposed to a clay, peel or gel mask. I also felt like it was constantly sliding off my face. The good news is, however, that it smelled *amazing* and my skin felt refreshed and clean when I finally took it off.
At the end of all of this, I have to say, I still like clay and peel masks the best since I feel like they really get the gunk out of my pores. But for those of you who just want a little facial infusion, this is probably the mask for you.
