An average 'treat yourself' day
Ok, yes, "treating yo'self" is kind of hard in college, what with the lack of beauty resources, quality food, and relaxation/down time. But somehow we all manage. About once a month, around 2pm, I decide it's time for a day to myself filled with face masks, deep conditionings and new nail polish. Below is how I spend that day.
1. Face mask
2. Deep conditioner
Face masks exfoliate, cleanse and refresh our skin. I discovered this product during my sophomore when I became friends with a group of girls who would always leave green bits of, what looked like, concrete in the dorm sinks. I tried it for myself and have never looked back. Mask of Magnaminty does a great job of smoothing bumpy and irritated skin without being drying or harsh.

To be honest, I don’t really *need* to deeply condition my hair - I have always had somewhat hydrated hair. But for some reason, using this stuff makes my blonde locks almost disgustingly smooth for as long as a week.

3. Lip Exfoliant
4. Teeth Whitener
Confession, I get super dry lips. Whenever the air is cold, my lips crack. Whenever the air is dry, my lips crack. Sometimes if I just think about the outdoors, my lips crack. And when that happens, I need lipbalm, but after a while, all the built up dead skin leaves my lips…feeling weird. So I rub this on my lips with a toothbrush and wash it off. And it works.

I became obsessed with whitening my teeth junior year; there’s something about blindingly white teeth that just makes me feel like I have my life together. You brush your teeth, put on the white strips, wait 15 minutes (or until it kinda starts to lowkey burn) and then take them off, brush your teeth and smile at how pretty you are.
5. Nail polish removal & replace
6. Self-tanner
Please don’t wait once a month to change your nail polish.
When I lose my summer tan I look less than good. Since high school I have been trying to find the best self-tanner and it has not been easy. Between looking orange, streaky or just plain stupid, I have had my fair share of oops moments. These towelettes are fool-proof, though. I don’t swear by many products but I swear by these.
