6 ways to style your day-2 hair
|
|
If you’ve ever run late after a busy morning you know the stress of how to deal with your day-2, slept-on hair. For all the ladies who live with the struggle of needing to wash and dry your hair everyday, you know what I am saying. So it will come as no surprise when I say that the invention of dry shampoo was an ACTUAL beauty savior. But here’s the thing: that’s all well and fine and dry shampoo helps absorb oil at your roots… but then what? Leave it hanging? What if it looks powdery and lame?
1. High, messy ponytail Worry less about bumps at your scalp and more about making sure the roots of your hair don’t look too white. Once you hair is up in the ponytail, separate into two sections and tighten against your head. Push the hair elastic up from the bottom and continue to tighten. Tease ponytail if you’re feeling ~crazy~ |

4. Headband A great addition to any of the above suggestions. If you wear a headband alone, you still risk displaying a less-than-fresh crown (you know what I mean). But if you can manage to brush you hair back to cover your crown then, by all means, knock your socks off and wear a headband alone. All the power to you. |
5. Sunglasses as a hair accessory
If you get headband headaches (like I do) then try the sunglasses-as-a-hair-accessory method that I discovered a year ago. This method is best for somewhat cloudy days when sunglasses aren’t *technically necessary* but you won’t be called out for wearing shades without the sun shining (also, side note, those people who say “why are you wearing sunglasses if it isn’t cloudy?” are the haters in the most literal sense). |
6. Parted bun
I discovered this method LEGIT yesterday and was so, so pleased. It is a little more casual than a hardcore power-bun but still makes you seem sleek and polished. Part your hair down the middle but then brush the back part of your hair backwards to cover your crown and secure the bun at the base of your head. |
One more quick thing: if you're hair is THAT dirty, probably just wash it.
