10-minute makeup routine
You know those mornings when you know you got 8 hours of sleep and are just...still tired? So naturally you lay in bed and procrastinate getting ready for class/work/life. You know you need to look relatively presentable but you just don’t have it in you to *try* - been there.
Here is my 10-minute makeup routine that I have shamelessly turned into my everyday makeup routine.
Here is my 10-minute makeup routine that I have shamelessly turned into my everyday makeup routine.
1. Laura Mercier Primer
2. MAC Face and Body Foundation
When I have more time, I usually use some kind of moisturizer to prep my skin but this product both softens and primes (lol) the skin before I use my foundation. LM makes 6 different primers specific to different uses so while I use the oil-free, you can choose one that fits your skin type.
Here we are again with the Face and Body foundation. I have no more words, I ran out. This is the best, end of story.
3. MAC Press Powder
4. James Read Bronzer/Highligher Duo
The Face and Body gives me good coverage but the powder on top just gives me one more layer to even out my skintone. Plus, since Face and Body leaves a dewy finish (and therefore somewhat sticky) the powder allows me to put on my bronzer without worries of streaky lines.
For a long time I was a religious user of NARS Laguna (which I still love) but I needed something without shimmer as I entered my adult years. What’s great about this palette is that both the bronzer and highlighter are full-sized. Nothing is worse than trying to get your fluffy bronzing brush into one of those sample sized sections in any given palette
5. MAC Blush
6. Lancôme Mascara
Wow, so weird, another MAC product. Can you tell I love MAC? Blush is a personal choice but I need something that isn’t too pink. “Dame” gives me just enough color without looking like I did my makeup in the dark.
Once I started using this mascara I could never turn back. Everyone always makes fun of me for using $32 mascara but it’s just...really worth it.
7. Gucci Lipgloss
8. Perfume (take your pick)
I’ve posted about this lipgloss before but I just cannot say enough good things about it. It is light enough to wear all day and not super shiny. I am not, and never will be, a lipgloss fanatic but this stuff *changed me*.
There’s something about perfume that just makes you feel put together. A spritz on your wrists, neck, chest and hair gives you that “finish” after rushing to get ready. Also, it smells rly good.
